Adventures of a Pangopup
Author: Terri Tatchell
Illustrator: Ivan Suliman
Adventures of a Pangopup is a delightful story about a young pangolin and his desire to leave the burrow. He feels like he’s old enough but his mother disagrees. Will he be able see the sights on his own?
I LOVED the illustrations in this story. They were rich in color, very detailed. The pango pup was super cute and the mother pangolin looked like a mom with her drawn mannerisms.
My boys loved this story. They were interested to hear what shenanigans the pup got into and thought he was adorable.
I liked that there are a couple pages at the back of the book that give facts about the pangolin and dik dik deer. I enjoy stories for kids that are educational as well as fun and exciting.
I liked that this book told a tale about consequences of actions. Kids need reinforcement of this idea. I also like that the young pangolin figured out for himself that he wasn’t ready to be out and about yet and that he still had lessons to learn.
Adventures of a Pangopup is a great tale that I recommend to all. It has a good story and great illustrations. Kids will like this book because of the way the pangolin tests his boundaries and adults will like this book because of the consequences experienced.
