Find Your Calm: A Mindful Approach To Relieve Anxiety And Grow Your Bravery is a useful book for kids who get anxiety about daily activities. This is not a typical story book but it was written by a licensed professional counselor, clearly with children in mind.
There are a few grammatical issues in this book that bother me; editing should have caught them before being sent to publish. There is also a place near the end where you can practice grounding activities that is missing a key word. You can infer what the word should be because of the graphic right next to it, but again, editing could have been more thorough.
That being said, I think this book shares a really necessary message about how to recognize anxiety and how to combat it. I like how the narrator talks about grounding activities and then you can practice them at the back of the book with your child. Recognizing emotions and anxiety at an early age will better prepare children when dealing with these feelings later on.
Children will like this book because it comes with activities they can easily do, and adults will like this book for its practical applications.
