The Angry Dragon is a story about a boy named George and his pet dragon, Joe. Joe often loses his temper when things don’t go his way, and George walks him through the process of calming down and thinking things through.
While overall I like the graphics, I do think it’s a bit strange that the dragon’s eye color changes frequently. At first I attributed it to changing to red when he was mad and green when he was happy, but that wasn’t the case.
The story is not overly long so you won’t lose kids due to a short attention span. The rhyming was nice and felt pretty natural. The pacing was well spaced.
Kids will like The Angry Dragon because Joe gets mad for the same reasons kids get mad. Adults will like this story because they are actionable steps for calming behaviors their kids can practice.
