The Book of Mistakes

The Book of Mistakes is a whimsical tale about how a mistake can take on a new life of its own, in a positively creative way.
It’s very Bob Ross-esque in that these “happy little accidents” lead to a greater picture.
The illustrations were created by the author which is fairly rare these days, so you know every aspect was drawn with intent (although maybe a few began as mistakes…). The colors are mainly pastel against a dark contrast and I like how the graphics pop on the page.
While children will like the silly illustrations and how one image builds into the next, adults will approve of encouraging their kids to understand that making mistakes can be ok. This book is all about building self confidence, and I think you’d agree we can all use a bit of that.
