The Very Frustrated Monster is a story about a monster named Twitch who has a very frustrating day. It starts off with his alarm not ringing to wake him up. Then he stubs his toes and trips and bumps his head. And that’s just his morning!
I really like the WorryWoo series. There are several installations about greed, indecision, and loneliness to name a few. This particular story focuses on frustration and how to look at situations when they don’t go your way.
Kids will like this story because Twitch is a relatable character. Everyone has frustrations and knows what it’s like to not get your way. Adults will like this story because not only are there actionable steps kids can take to handle frustration when it comes up, this book also explains how kids could handle the aftermath of a meltdown.
